Who Are the Great White North Brewerianists?

Forming from modest beginnings in 1988, The Great White North Brewerianist club was originally created to celebrate the collecting and preservation of beer cans from across the world. Quickly, our organization evolved to the collecting of any and all breweriana items, including beer signs, bottles, coasters, glassware, trays, mirrors, tap handles, crowns, etc.

The Great White North Brewerianist is the largest beer collecting club west of Toronto and in all of western Canada. After over 30 years and still growing, our club boasts a large membership (from across Manitoba and various Canadian and American locations) dedicated to all breweriana related collectibles. The GWN has ties with larger brewerianist clubs across North America, such as:

  • The Collectors of Canadian Brewery Advertising;
  • The American Breweriana Association;
  • The Brewery Collectibles Club Of America; and
  • The National Association of Breweriana Advertising.

Our club has monthly meetings at the Belgian Club on Provencher Blvd in Winnipeg. We have an extensive quarterly newsletter (Paw Prints) containing different articles of interest to collectors of all types of breweriana.

We also hold annual events such as Garage Sales, Flea Market gatherings and our ever popular Bingo Bowling night; however, our main club event is our annual Buy, Sell and Trade Show held every October, loaded with many great items for sale, as well as our very successful raffles. We are also proud to state that two of our club members are the authors of Manitoba's premier beer history book, "300 Years Of Beer".

If you think you might be interested in becoming a club member or need help in adding to your personal collection, or if you may know of someone interested in collecting breweriana, see Great White North Breweriana Membership Registration.

We sincerely thank you for taking the time to visit our website and helping us celebrate over 30 years in Manitoba.
